Tech4City is Huawei Singapore’s flagship competition that aims to empower youths to build the Singapore of tomorrow through technological innovation for social good. 

Tech4City Competition Finals 2025 Highlights

The Huawei Tech4City Competition Finals 2025 concluded on 28 November 2025, with Remarkably, a team from NUS winning the grand prize of S$20,000 for their AI-powered essay platform closing the feedback gap for students especially in underserved communities. 

The competition saw over 320 youths submitting more than 120 proposals, and involved partners from government, academia, industries to empower our shared digital future. 

In the 2025 edition, the finals were live-streamed across Huawei’s Facebook and X platforms, reaching over 14.87 million live viewers

Smart Education seeks to redefine learning in a post-pandemic world. Participants might tackle cyber hygiene, sustainability, smart built environment, city mobility related challenges. Ages (16 – 35)

1) Participants should be 16-35 years old, currently/used to be enrolled in a Singapore school, forming a team of 3 to 6 persons


2) Use of Huawei technology (upon registration, you will be able to access Huawei E-learning platform)


3) Participants MUST be able to attend the onsite final pitch in Singapore in October


4) Submission: Pitch Deck including research insights, proposed solution, execution plan, social value and demo of prototype

1) Social Impact (30%): Relevance to Singapore’s societal needs and alignment with competition themes


2) Feasibility & Technical Soundness (30%):
Practicality of solution, user validation, functionality 


3) Creativity & Innovation (20%):
originality of the idea and its potential to inspire change


4) Storytelling & Pitching Ability (20%):
ability to communicate ideas effectively to potential investors
